2014 Michigan Young Male Referee of the Year -
Congrats to GLASRA member Charlie Coon! Charlie has been involved in soccer as a player, referee, and a coach. He currently plays for the MSU Club Soccer Team and is a goalkeeper coach for the Williamston High School Boys Team.
He has learned to view soccer from a different perspective through refereeing. "Refereeing has given me an expansive knowledge
of the game I love so much," says Charlie. He is confident that it will help him be a more analytical soccer coach, a more ethical employee, a calmer "soccer Dad", and, simply a better person.
Be sure to congratulate Charlie when you see him!

2011 Regional Young Female Referee of the Year
Even the most recognized FIFA referees begin were once young referees, and Raechel Conine hopes her strides in referee development will lead her on a similar path. Conine became a referee in 2007 and began the process of progressing from Grade 8 to Grade 7. She has officiated at the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Region II trainings and at the US Youth Soccer Michigan State Championships.
